Boonton's Hill deals back-to-back aces
By Dennis Wilson
The Citizen of Morris County
Boonton's Pat Hill has accumulated an amazing 48 holes-in-one
since he began playing golf in 1984 at the age of 36. At the Peace Pipe Country Club in Denville on Sunday, Hill
not only served a pair of aces, but dealt them on back-to-back holes.
Playing the seventh hole, Hill hit off the tee with his 3-wood, driving the ball 260 yards to the green but no
one in the foursome that included his son Keith, Brian Kelly and Pat Brydon saw where the ball went. After looking
for the ball, his son Keith checked the cup and found his father's Precept 44 ball, the 18th time that he has registered
an ace on the hole.
On the eighth hole, Hill used his wedge to knock the ball 140 yards to the green where the foursome watched history
in the making as the ball landed within a foot of the cup and rolled into the hole of the par-three hole for an
ace.
