Mavrakes' ace wins car at Clara Maass Invitational
|
| West Orange, NJ - From the tee box of the fifth hole on course one at the
Montclair Golf Club, Steve Mavrakes, Director Rehabilitation Services at Clara Maass Medical Center and a resident
of Union, not only recorded his first hole-in-one, he punctuated this thrill by winning a new Audi A4 with his
180 yard ace at the Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation 2007 Golf Invitational. |
| "It was a beautiful high draw, and it never left the stick," said
Mavrakes, describing the flight of his 4 iron drive. "It landed on the green and ran like a mouse into the
hole." |
| The fifth hole, par three hole, sponsored by Paul Miller Audi offered an
opportunity to win a silver A4, which was presented to Marvrakes for his perfect drive. He completed the day carding
a 77. |
| "We are extremely happy to have one of our own employees win the car,"
said Jane Kessler, Vice President of the Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation. "It was the first time in
the history of the Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation Golf Invitational that anyone has won a car for at one
of the hole-in-one holes, and it was a very exciting experience. We are all very pleased for Steve and also very
thank to Paul Miller Audi for their generosity and support." |
